Jane - Registered Nurse - Team Leader
Jane joined Takapuna Health in September 2016 and has been our Lead Nurse since December 2018. Jane came to Dodson with extensive experience as an Accident and Emergency nurse at White Cross. Jane works full time over 4 days and runs asthma, diabetes and cervical screening clinics as well as leading the nursing team and ensuring the practice meets clinical guidelines.
Chi Qi - Registered Nurse
Chi joined Dodson Medical Centre in May 2022. She has many years of cardiothoracic nursing background and has worked in both private and public hospitals. In these roles she cared for patients following open heart surgery. Chi has been living in New Zealand for 18 years and graduated from WINTEC in 2007. Chi is employed two days a week but also covers other days occasionally. She is both an independent vaccinator and independent smear taker. When she is not at work Chi is kept busy as a mother to two young children.
Janine - Registered Nurse
Janine is a New Zealand trained registered nurse who began her career in Wellington, before embarking on a 21 year life in the U.K. In the U.K. she worked as a nurse in emergency nursing, ICU, nurse led clinics, prestigious Harley street clinics and primary health, while continuing extensive, post grad training. Her passion is in primary health care. She enjoys developing relationships with patients, their families and helping them throughout their health journey, as a practice nurse. Janine is an an independent vaccinator and independent smear taker. Janine lives on the shore and her twins go to school in Milford and Takapuna.
Tamra - Primary Healthcare Assistant
Tamra joined Takapuna Health in 2024 with a wealth of experience in clinical support roles across private, public, and non-government organisations. She plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the clinic, focusing on new patient appointments and optimising daily operations. Tamra is skilled in performing ECGs, cognitive tests, spirometry, and a range of other health-related support services, always with a focus on providing the best care for patients.
Tamra values building positive and meaningful relationships with patients, helping them feel supported and cared for throughout their health journey.
Outside of work, Tamra loves spending time at the beach, expressing her creativity through artwork, and cherishing moments with her husband and daughters.
